Hello! Alison here and I've got 2 fun cards for you to check out today featuring Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. Both cards have a fun technique that I have been experimenting with, which is adding foil to acetate. The result is so cool, and I am really enjoying the technique. The first card shown below is a sample I made for last week's FB Live, which I do every Thursday on the Doodles Paper Playground Page at 8PM EST. If you'd like to check out the entire process on my second card, please click HERE.
This card features the holographic foil (called Iridescent) from Therm O Web, which I used in combination with their Transfer Gel Duo and older star stencil from Kindred Stamps. Inside I used the totally rad "I Love the 80's" Sparkle Blend with a die set from The Greetery's Pinwheel Party Die Set. The shine on this card is insane, and the shaker bits look so cool underneath the stars. By the way, the bottom layer of the die set was cut with white holographic paper, which you can find at White Rose Crafts HERE.
This card is the one we made during the FB Live. It came together so perfectly, and I seriously love it. For this card, I used the Circles and Pluses die from Studio Light, along with Therm O Web's Prince Periwinkle Deco Foil. The Sparkle Blend we chose was Annie's Music of the Heart which has such wonderful colors and lots of black. I used the "Dude" die cut set from CZ Design on top, and underneath, we chose a purple cardstock that I splattered with assorted metallic sprays.
Both of these cards are really fun, bright, shiny, and have a ton of movement inside. I hope that you'll give this technique a try. You'll get some wonderful results! Please be sure to visit the Sparkle Blends Shop on Esty to see the all of the available Sparkle Blends, as well as joining the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook. I’ll have a new FB Live on the Doodles Paper Playground FB Page this Thursday at 8PM EST. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
So festive and fun with the foiling.
