Birthday Hugs

Hello Annie here today with a birthday card. I am using a decoupage sheet for this card made it quick. The Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend was perfect for this card.

Peacock Pizzazz has the perfect blends of  blues, greens and just a touch of plum with cupped, flower, paisley, and almond shaped sequins, iridescent crystals, seed beads & multicolored peacock feather Fimo shapes.

So, let's get started. First I gathered my supplies -Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend,  I used a sheet of decoupage from Adam Pescott.(decoupage sheets have a base image and layering images that are trimmed or punched out to be layered with foam adhesive on top of the base image to create a 3D effect), Light Green Card base, Yellow card stock Foam adhesive and Distress Oxide ink in Hickory Smoke.

Then, I trimmed the little critters from the sheet. I kept the numbers for the order of placement. I also used a bit of Distress Oxide in Hickory Smoke on the edges of the cut outs.

Next, I added the base image onto a piece of yellow card stock.  Then, I flipped over the pieces and add foam adhesive to all the pieces. Then I placed them onto the large image base.

Showing  the layers from the side

Next, I added the Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend - I pulled out 2 of the feather pieces to use as raindrops, and 2 of each blue and green round sequins & 2 tiny yellow hearts. Added a few drops of glue and placed the sequins on top of them. I placed the hearts on the banner and umbrella.

Next, I adhered the card front panel to the light green card base.

Now, the card is complete! I hope you give the -Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend a try it's so pretty. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Season's Greetings

Hey guys, Kelli here.  Today I am sharing with you a cute little snow globe card I made with soft pastel Holiday pattern paper using two mixes from this months Sparkle Blend release

Lately I have been loving just making plain and simple cards with soft colors.

I used Bells are Ringing and Vixen on my card today.  Both of these blends are great, I love all the white and gold and clear and the different size stars in the Bells are Ringing blend and Vixen has those Silver reindeer that are just awesome, not to mention the wonderful sequins that work really well with either soft or bold colors!

You are Amazing

Hello crafty folks! Alison here, and today I have a card featuring a very special Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I used the Harvest Joy Blend, which is only available through the White Rose Crafts October Subscription Kit. There are still some kits available, so if you would like to get your hands on this very special Sparkle Blend, and all of the other great items in it, grab it while you can.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to just color whatever image I am inspired by, and they don't always make it on to a card right away. That's what happened with this sweet dragon from Mama Elephant. He's from the fabulous Me and my Dragon stamp set. I ADORE this stamp set. If ever there was a stamp set made for me, it's this one. But back to my card. I stamped this guy with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Then I used watercolors from Recollections to paint him. I went back over the stamped image with a black PITT pen from Faber Castell because these watercolors leave a chalky finish over the stamped lines. I think it's time to invest in a higher quality set.

I used a very old piece of patterned paper from Basic Gray for my top layer, and I die cut a circle using an Elizabeth Crafts Designs circle. You can faintly see the stitching around the edge of the circle, which I love. Around the circle, I stamped my sentiment, which is from the Stampendous Circular Messages stamp set. I only stamped a portion of this sentiment, as I didn't want the words to go all the way around my circle.

For the shaker, I omitted the large leaves that come in the Sparkle Blend, as I didn't think they went with my dragon. There are some small ones in there though. The colors of this Sparkle Blend are so beautiful. You'll find opalescent reds, lots of oranges, gold, brown, and even a little green. These colors certainly say "harvest" to me. I opted to use a piece of patterned cardstock from DCWV for behind the shaker, so that if the sequins falls to the bottom, there is still something interesting to look at.

I put the layer with the shaker on to my brown card base, and added a bit of ric-rak and burgundy chiffon ribbon from May Arts. I thought they really brought out some of the colors that are in the Sparkle Blend.

This design came together pretty quickly, especially since I had pre-colored my dragon. I find that I often feel like doing something, but not for a specific project. It allows me to really be free with what I am making, and I can always manage to use those little elements at a later date.  Please be sure to visit White Rose Crafts LLC to check out all of the amazing contents in the October Subscription Kit. And if you would like to check out all of the Sparkle Blends, you can shop HERE. White Rose Crafts is the exclusive distributor of Sparkle Blends. That's all for me today. Thanks so much for visiting. Have an inspiring day!

Let It Snow!

Hello Friends - Annie here today I am bring you another fun winter scene card. Penguin, Seal and Polar Bear have all worked real hard on building a snowman.

I created a shaker card and use the New Released Sparkle Blend Frozen. I love this mix it has hues of Blue, soft Teals and white. Some snowflakes, small crystals in both clear and pale blue. This Sparkle Blend along with all the other Sparkle Blend can be purchased at White Rose Crafts LLC

To create the shaker I simply stamped the snowman image and cut away the body leaving only his arms. I then trimmed his buttons, nose and eyes to adhere them to the top of the clear acetate. I stamped and colored the other images. I then fussy cut them out and set them aside. Next, I created the back background on the same card front that I stamped snowman. I use I cloud stencil with Distress Ink to create the snow and to give a bit of color to the sky. I then sprinkled a bit of water and dried it off.

Next, I add a bit of DecoArt Snow Writer to the snow banks I created with the stencil. I also added a bit to snowball pile. Once the snow writer effects were dry I added the buttons, nose and eye to the snowman. I then flipped over the card front panel and put foam adhesive to the back to create the channel for my Frozen Sparkle Blend to sit in - then I placed a small piece of white and silver pattern paper to seal in the Frozen Sparkle Blend. Then, I adhered the card front panel to an A2 teal cardbase.

Next, I adhered the penguin, seal and polar bear using low profile foam adhesive. I adhered to the snowball pile directly to the panel - since it has the snow writer effect it has plenty of dimension. I stamped the sentiment and die cut it on a banner. For finishing touches I add a few sequins from the Frozen Sparkle Blend around the sentiment and snowman. I also added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the accessories (scarf, hat & earmuffs) as well as the sentiment.

Congrats Baby Shaker Gate Fold Card

Congrats Baby Shaker

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

My brother is having a baby boy in January!
I wanted to make a gate fold car that had a shaker on the inside.

I started with my card base
Click HERE to go to my blog that has the dimensions that I used for this card.

I die cut my shaker frame, added acetate and a single layer of foam so
that the shaker has a low profile and isn't going to bulk up the card.

I spread out my sequins and then placed my shaker frame on top

I used a die cut star on the card belt to hold the sentiment and
used these cute little baby images from Lawn Fawn Plus One

I added the colored paper on the sides flaps and thought it still needed more decor
so I added the small stamped stars to the center panel and then
added more sequins to the side panels.

Here is the front of the card.
I added patterned paper to the flaps and kept all the decor on the inside of the card!

For this card I used the Frozen Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground October release.

This release is geared twords the holidays but
I was easily able to use this blend for a non holiday card
by not using the snowflakes and snowmen that were in the mix.
I love that these blends are so versatile.

There are more great Sparkle Blends and a large assortment of items for all your crafty projects over at White Rose Crafts!
