Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

Happy Monday Sparkle Blends Fans! As we impatiently wait for the new September Release I am working on some Christmas cards. It is never too early to get moving on those. So check this out!
I am using Old St. Nick to create this adorable shaker card. I am using a kit from Queen and Company for my project. I adore how this Special Delivery kit makes such a fun scene card. The dies in this set are perfect for making this super cute truck with a shaker spot designed right in. I have also used a stencil from My Favorite Things called, appropriately, Cloud, to mak my cloud background for my holiday truck to drive toward.
Make sure you grab your favorites from the August Release as well as all of the amazing Sparkle Blends. So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!
I do hope you enjoy this project and can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs!

Ho. Ho. Ho

Hi Sparkle Blends Fans! Today I am bringing you some more Christmas in July cheer featuring the big guy in all his sparkly jollyness! And I am using the perfect blend! His very own specialty blend, Old St. Nick! Have a look!
For this project I used a stamp and die set that is one of my favorites from The Stamps of Life and it is called Santa2Stamp and Santa Dies. I used the matching die set to create the shaker opening rather than using it to paper piece his hat. I added a layer of acetate behind and foam tape to create my shaker pocket.
To make my santa super textured, I colored him up with Copics, but then added texture to his mustache and beard with a Snow Marker from Marvy Uchida.
This is the first time I have used this. You add the marker where you want the texture and then hit it with your heat gun and it poofs up! So totally fun! Then I added Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust to the brim and the poof of his hat. I am totally loving how this all came together.

Christmas In July Mini Release Inspiration

Hey Sparkle Blends Fans! Judy here. Are you loving all the inspiration so far on the Christmas In July Mini Release? Have you had a chance to see all the fabulous projects created by both the Doodles Paper Playground Team and The Rabbit Hole Designs Team?

Take a look at this festive project! I used elements from both  Merry Mint and  Old St. Nick for this project along with a stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs new release called Kringle and a new release die called Candy Twist Die.  These teamed up perfectly to create this super fun project.

I loved how perfectly sized the candy canes were to be able to give Santa one to hold in each hand! So fun!!!! I really love how this came out!
