Planner Shaker Page

Ink Stained Roni here with you today and I wanted to share a planner idea with you...shaker divider pages! I have recently started a new planner - I wanted one place to keep track of all of the art and crafty ideas I come up with. I am making it all by hand so I want to include some fun art inside - I thought shaker dividers would be a fun start.

I used a scrap piece of clear vinyl which was folded in half then I traced out the size and hole placement on the top layer. I cut it out, punched the holes and stitched it closed on the top and bottom leaving a 1" hole in the center of the two middle rings.

I filled the pouch with Sweet Treats Sparkle Blend then stitched up the hole.

When finished I showed it around to some friends and we couldn't stop shaking it. It is SO much fun playing with this divider page....I'm afraid now I will be spending far too much time playing with the divider and not enough time thinking of and writing down crafty ideas!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Shaker Shamrock

Ink Stained Roni here with a fun Shamrock Shaker card for you just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

This shaker features one of the new Sparkle Blends - Gold Rush which is perfect for all sorts of themes but works especially well when in search of Leprechauns and their pot of gold!

I started off by making the shaker element which is a nifty little kit from Creative Embellishments. It comes with all of the necessary parts and pieces to make one completed shaker including the back piece, 3 outline frames and the clear window.

I started off by covering the shaker back/base with Jade/Gold Glossy foiled paper by Rinea. Two of the outline frames were then glued to the shaker back. I then filled the shaker with the Gold Rush mix and a few shamrock paper punchies cut from more foiled paper.  The clear window piece was secured to hold all the shakie bits in place and the final frame was glued on.  I colored the frame and sides with a green metallic marker for an extra bit of sparkle.

I set the shaker aside and embossed a large sheet of Rinea Emerald/Gold Glossy foiled paper in a Celtic design then swiped away the color using Ghost Ink 2.0 (also from Rinea).  This panel was affixed to a card base covered with Gold/Gold Starstruck foiled paper.

A die-cut oval was added to the card and the shamrock shaker was then affixed to the card.

I hope you've enjoyed this wee bit 'o inspiration and sparks your creativity!
Have a lovely day friends...

Hey Chick!

Ink Stained Roni here with a fun Spring time card to share with you using one of the new Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground called  Hey Chickie which as luck would have it I had a darling set of stamps that paired with them perfectly!

The Hey Chickie Sparkle Blend mix is a beautiful combination of pinks, yellows, light orange and white sequins in a wide range of sizes with lovely little pink and irridescent flowers, Fimo butterflies and darling little chick faces. Such a fun mix for all sorts of themes...Spring, Easter, girly girls and so much more.

I started off assembling the shaker by cutting the frame using a Spellbinders die on white cardstock. I filled the shaker window with lots and lots of the Hey Chickie mix and backed it with a lovely vintage cabbage rose pattern paper.

I stamped the little chicks and colored them with a combination of colored pencils and alcohol markers then fussy cut. The shaker was mounted to a green card base that I had previously added Spring-y plaid mat, the little chicks, flowers and sentiment banner were then added to the shaker.

You can find this mix and many more fun *Limited Edition* sequins mixes over at the Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends at their Etsy shop.

Outta This World

Ink Stained Roni with you today to take you on a trip far far away to another galaxy with my outta this world shaker tag using one of the new Sparkle Blends - Nebula.

Nebula Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Glow In The image 0

The Nebula blend is amazing - filled with purple, black, green, iridescent sequins, printed, holographic, Fimo stars and even glow in the dark sequins. Such a beautiful combination of color, textures and styles.

To create this shaker tag I die-cut the stars from the cover tag, adhered a piece of acetate on the back side and set about outlining each star with foam tape. The wells were then filled with this amazing shaker blend and covered with a second piece of acetate (to hold everything in place). I covered the backing tag with Rinea Silver/Silver Starstruck foiled paper to really make the sequins colors pop. This tag was attached to the shaker piece.

I then covered each of the star windows with the cut away portion and flicked frost (metallic white) watercolor paint over the entire tag and let it dry. The cover-up stars were then removed and a few select sequins from the Nebula mix were affixed to the front of the tag. A bit of sparklie fiber and this shaker tag was set to go. It would make a great piece for a card, in a scrapbook, as a gift tag and more.

Wee Wee Wee...

Hello Friends - Roni here today and I want to share my farmyard shaker card made using one of the fabulous new Sparkle Blend limited release - This Little Piggy.

This Little Piggy Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends image 0

If you look closely you can see the darling little Fimo piggy faces and tiny pink flowers which make this blend so sweet.

To create this card I started off by creating a watercolor sky and grassy field with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints. After the panel had dried I diecut the pig from the grassy area. I also die-cut the farmyard silhouette from Rinea Ebony/Gold Glossy foiled paper.  I assembled the shaker on the back of the card, filled it and adhered it to the kraft card base.

I finished off the card by attaching the farmyard silhouette and a computer generated sentiment to the front of the card.  Such a fun card to brighten anyone's day don't you think?

Supplies:

Let It Snow!

Hello everyone, Ink Stained Roni here and I am thrilled to be a guest designer for Doodles Paper Playground for February and March. I think you're going to love the new release - so many fun Sparkle Blends to choose from.  I wanted to share what I created using the Happy Little Flurries blend.

Don't you just love all the lovely colors - pinks, purples, iridescent white, blues and more. This blend is just perfect for those cool frosty mornings!

I started off by cutting the window in the kraft snowflake paper from Unity Stamp Co. I also diecut a scallop frame out of Rinea Turquoise/Turquoise Starstruck foiled paper and the snowflake insert (Spellbinders) from Sapphire/Gold Glossy foiled paper (also from Rinea).

I assembled the shaker on the back of the kraft paper and mounted it over a card base which was covered with a mat of the same Sapphire/Gold Glossy foiled paper as the snowflake frame. To finish off the card I diecut a fish-tale banner and stamped Let It Snow (MFT) with Paradise VersaFine Clair ink; popped two of the lovely holographic stars on it and affixed it under the shaker.

Just look at that sparkle!!

I hope you enjoy my creation and stop back in and see what else I've been creating with more fun Sparkle Blends.
