Lucky Birthday

Hey guys, Kelli here today with a card featuring the Good Luck Charm Sparkle Blend.  This limited edition blend is awesome and you can only get it at White Rose Crafts! 

Here is the card I made...

I love the colors in this blend!  I used my scan n cut 2 again to cut out the shaker portion of the card.  I added two different colors of green and white twine to the card and adhered a horse shoe from the blend to the middle of the bow!

A Special Day...

Hi ya crafty peeps, it's my turn here on the blog today with a new shaker card to share with you.

I love making shaker cards! Who doesn't love a little sparkle and shine on their projects. This new sparkle blend is called Cozy and it is super different than a lot of the other blends. It's demure and actually represents the word Cozy quite well, LOL.  This de-saturated blend of Eggplant, teal, champagne, lavender, hunter green & red has the perfect cold weather vibe. 

Mainly a base of matte & satin sequins, with just the right touch of glitter and iridescence, this blend will add the perfect touch to all of your winter projects.

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a card featuring both the February New Release Birthstone Collection - March Aquamarine and the White Rose Crafts LLC February's Sketch

I use a Foilable Mini Card from Creative Vision Stamps and
 some Heat Transfer Foil in Seaside Cabana and Blade.

I also used some washi in watercolor blues and
silver to coordinate with the Foilable.

For finishing touches, I used some feathers and
the Birthstone Collection: March - Aquamarine.

Birthday In Blue

Hey guys, Kelli here today with a card featuring the Aquamarine Sparkle Blend.  This limited edition blend is awesome and you can only get it at White Rose Crafts! 

Here is the card I made... 

I cut the shaker portion out on my Scan N Cut 2 by Brother leaving the top portion in for the sentiment.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Fresh Peony stamp set from stampendous. I added that cute little silver bow to the bottom and I wish I could say I made it but I received it in a RAK from a wonderful friend!

Hiya crafty peeps, today I am up on the Doodles Paper Playground blog featuring a new Sparkle Blend! Here is my make...

Fueled by Sparkle Blends

So this post has been in the works for a while now, but I am finally excited it has come to fruition.  I have the honor of guest designing over at Doodle's Paper Playground using their sparkle blend sequin mixes.  Who am I...well I'm EK Gorman from the tiny little blog ekgorman designs.

For the past year, Sparkle Blends have been the primary sequins I have used, so trust me when I say I am excited to writing this post today.

Now, I am not the world's greatest shaker card maker, however, every once in a while I like to dabble in them, and today is no exception.  I wanted to try and create what could be called a clean and simple shaker card, and I don't think I was too far off the mark. 

I started by stamping out my card using some expresso Memento ink and the Bo Bunny Cup of Joe stamp set.  Then using my xacto knife, I cut out the bits in the middle of the coffee cups.

Again I am not an expert of making shaker cards, so I am going to let someone wiser than me explain how to make the back of the card to make it so your card can shake. 

But I do want to let you know that I filled my cups with my favorite coffee blend of Sparkle Blend mixes, the Ginger Bread Man blend.

Stuck On You

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a puny card.

I know that we can always tell those we care about how 

we feel about them throughout the year. We can even do it in a puny way. 

I created this using the New Released Mardi Gras Sparkle Blend. 

A bright, joyous combination of purple, green and gold sequins in finishes ranging from 

matte to holographic, speckled with stars, golden confetti and sliced Fimo feathers 

in coordinating shades. This blend will be useful far beyond its namesake.

I stamped the cacti with Versafine Onyx Black onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored the images with Arteza Real Brush Markers. I finished them off with a bit of Gellyroll Gold Gel Pen.

Dude, Let's Celebrate

Greetings! Alison here. Today I am sharing a card that features the new "Mardi Gras Parade" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground, along with 2 of the "Sweet Treats" stamps from Stampendous.

 I stamped the ice cream cone and doughnut  repeatedly all over my background with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Then I used Koi Watercolors to paint them. I mixed a few of the colors myself, like the pistachio ice cream and the frosting on the doughnut. That's always something I love to do, no matter the medium. I used some "Crushed Grapes" Nuvo Drops on the pistachio ice cream to add a bit of shine and dimension beyond the sequins I was going to add.

 The "Mardi Gras Parade" Sparkle Blend is filled with shades of purple, green, and gold. It even has glitter sequins and day-glow sequins! As perfect as it is for Mardi Gras, don't pigeon hole it for just that purpose. It will work for many occasions. You can see some of the beautiful colors in the Blend in my photo above.

 For my sentiment, I used the totally rad "Dude" die set from Simon Says Stamp and CZ Designs. I say "dude" all the time, so this die is perfect for me. And I love the font. I paired my die cut with a sentiment that is also from Simon, called "Tiny Words," which I heat embossed in white on black cardstock. I inked up my card base with the direct-to-paper technique with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide.

I love how this cheery card turned out. Clearly it's for a celebration, but I kept it non-specific so that it could work for many things. And I like that it can be for anyone. I think that even just a sprinkle of Sparkle Blends has an impact, so don't forget to look beyond the shaker! I started with my shaker element on this card.

I used Lawn Fawns How You Bean set for this little jar.

I stamped and cut all my pieces, added the acetate 

and a double layer of foam tape.

I added my sequins, put it all together, added a label and a little color

I heat embossed the sentiment on the base panel and used some

 Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry on the quilted panel.

Time for assembly!

Then I added additional sequins to the front of the card.

On this card I used  Doodles Paper Playground 

Conversation Hearts Sparkle Blend.

I used the bigger hearts in the mix to make a shaker dashboard for my A6 TN planner.

I love it!!

Be Unique...

Hi ya crafty folks, it my turn to share a make over on the Doodles Paper Playground blog today. I am featuring a  cute new Sparkle Blend to add to any project!

This is the first time I have used more than 1 Sparkle Blend on a project. I love making shaker cards and figured why not switch up my usual style. The Sparkle Blends I used are  ( NEW!!) Birthstone Collection March-Aquamarine and the older collection is Flaming Sunset. Both sets are amazing! Lots of sparkle for added dimension is a great way to add that little "extra" to your project. The blends don't just consist of sequins but mini flowers, heart, gems, shapes and so much more.

Just Because Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a simple card to say Just Because to any friend or family member that may need a bit of a pick me up.

I used the soft Spring Fling Sparkle Blend for this card. 

With a beautiful base of pastel pink, lavender, green, light gold & blue, metallic cup sequins and a generous amount of tiny pastel heart confetti, Spring Fling is perfect for all of your spring projects; but we also added a touch of whimsy with pastel colored butterflies and beautiful faceted crystals. 

Now, not every card has to be a shaker. I love shaker cards but, sometimes you just need a quick card to send out to brighten up someone's day.

I used a card kit I had in my stash for a bit along with the
Spring Fling Sparkle Blend of Wink of Stella on the roses
I completed this card.
