Apple for Teacher

Apple for Teacher

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

As usual, I started by die cutting my base panels,

Attached the two bottom panels together,

Added an acetate window and double layer of foam tape.
I am only making the big window a shaker.

I added another piece of acetate to the back. . .
It makes it much easier to place your shaker when it is already sealed up

Then I placed the shaker on the base panel.

I stamped, colored and cut my images.
I am leaving the fronl blank because I do not know if I will
use this card for new teacher, teach appreciation or end of year.

I can always attach a sentiment to the front or just put it all on the inside!

I added some more sequins to the front and love how this turned out!

For this card I used the Apple for Teacher blend.
This is one of my favorite blends!
I love the primary color mix!

Hex Yeah with Primary Colors

Greetings! I always enjoy taking part in The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge because I have a bunch of ready-to-use images by the end of the month. But I don't always get to use them right away. From the time I colored Charlotte, from The Greeting Farm, I knew I wanted to use her with the "Apple for Teacher" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. She sat around in my craft room for quite some time, but I finally had the opportunity to use her on a card.

I colored Charlotte with my Zig Clean Color Markers, and I chose colors based on the "Apple For Teacher" Sparkle Blend. I pulled out 2 of my favorite dies, from one of my most used sets...the Hex Yeah stamps and coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut 3 hexagons to create my shaker windows, and I backed them with a polka-dotted cardstock. I separated each of the windows with foam tape, so that none of the hexagons would ever be empty.

I like that this Blend has turquoise in it. It keeps it from being too childish. And I just love those polka-dotted sequins! I stamped and die cut my sentiment and thought it would be fun to splatter my entire background. I pulled out a black, red, and shimmer yellow Mister from Deco Art, as well as the Danube Blue Fireworks! Spray from Imagine. I hardly every actually spray these mists. I prefer the large droplets I get from opening the bottle and tapping the straw on to my card front. I applied the black Mister to my card base too. It's a simple background, but I think it works perfectly with Charlotte and the Sparkle Blend.

I really like having multiple images ready to go when I have time to use them. It's one of the reasons I enjoy the 30 Day Coloring Challenge so much. I also really like when an idea comes to fruition easily, like it did with this card. This card is part of the #JustStashJanuary challenge, where you use only what you already own in your craft stash. More details on that can be found HERE. Pawsome Pug

Hi, it's Phoenix. Today I am showing you my "Pawsome Pug" card. I was inspired by the new Pawsome Pets Sparkle Blend and the Bah Hum-Pug stamp set from Clearly Besotted. I really like the animal Fimo pieces in the Pawsome Pets Sparkle Blend. I also used some of the Citrine and Apple for Teacher Sparkle Blend.
First, I cut out the cream colored mat for the card. Then, I stamped the pug and colored and cut him out. I colored the pug with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I knew before I started making the card that I wanted to have the sequins radiate out from the star on the pug, so I had to complete him first.
Next I attached the pug to the mat. After that, I started putting on sequins from the Pawsome Pets Sparkle Blend using On Point Glue. I started by putting on the yellows from Pawsome Pets and Citrine, and then worked my way out to the purples, then the blues. You can see a lot of the Fimo animal heads and paws in the picture above.
After I finished gluing on the sequins, I thought that the card needed more at the top, so I stamped on the sentiment from the Bah Hum-Pug stamp set and glued on a few more sequins in paw shapes around the sentiment. It took a long time to glue all the sequins on, but I really enjoyed making it.

Finally, I glued the mat on to the white card base. I'm really happy with how the colors radiate out from the pug. And, I like the variations of shapes and colors in the Sparkle Blends. You can check out all of the available Sparkle Blends at the White Rose Crafts shop. Thanks for looking at my post today. Have a great day!

For the Best Teacher

EK Gorman, Doodles Paper Playground, Teacher a

Hey everyone!  It's EK and I hope you have settled into the new school year.  It feels like I am finally getting my feet under me and the new schedules are no longer driving me crazy.

And since I am getting my feet under me finally, it seems only fitting that I start making some cards for those wonderful teachers teaching my kiddos.  It is going to be a whole lot easier this year to create some fun cards for my favorite teachers, because Doodles Paper Playground has just released a new Sparkle Blend pack designer just for that teaching staff.  The new Apple for Teacher Sparkle Blend is filled with a huge assortment of red, yellow and blue bits and baubles perfect for your favorite teacher.

To create my card I started by stamping out some school themed stamp images from the Woodware UK's School Tots stamp set and colored it up with my copics.  I fussy cut out the images so it would be easier to add them onto my finished card.

I did a little ink blending through a stencil onto some cardstock for my background.  I pulled out the Grunge stencil from Kaisercraft and blended some Mustard Seed, Blueprint Sketch, and Candied Apple Distress Oxide onto the cardstock.

I die cut the cardstock using two different dies and started the task of making my shaker card.  I just love how the shaker bits look inside this background.

I just love how his card turned out.  I think its colors turned out perfectly and I am so excited to give this card to one of my kiddo's teachers.
