Hi, it's Rhiannon. Today I have a "thank you" card that I made for Amber, the owner of Doodles Paper Playground. I made her this card because she sent me a big box of craft items. I used some of the things on this card. Almost everything I used on this card, came from the box.
I started by cutting out a mat for a small card (4" x 5 1/4"). Then I chose a size for my circle to die cut. I used a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Before I die cut my card, I blended 4 Scrapberry's Glimmer Inks on my mat. I used Green, Lavender, Teal, and Plum. I used finger daubers to blend the inks. Once I put the colors on, I used Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle on top of the inks. After I did that. I die cut my circle in the top center. Then, I stamped "thank you" underneath the circle with the Green Shimmer Ink.
Next I made my shaker. I used the "Icicle" Sparkle Blend for inside my shaker. I used it because the colors went really nicely with the rest of my card. The colors in it are white, light blue and silver. I like the diamonds and the big flower pieces in it. Once my shaker was together, I put the mat on to a cream card base. Then, underneath the "thank you," I put a strip of trim that has rhinestones all over it. Amber gave it to me. It shines a lot. After I did that, I put some of the lavender shimmer ink on the edges of my card base.
After I finished with the outside of my card, I added ink to the inside to give it more interest. Once I did the ink, I wrote my message to Amber in silver marker. I like how the Sheer Shimmer Spritz came out on my mat. I think that the "Icicle" Sparkle Blend looks really good with the rest of my card. That's it for today. Have a great day!

Succulent Shaker Card
Hello! Alison here. I've got a new shaker card to share that is soft, pretty, and great for different occasions. I chose to make it a "thank you" card, but it would work great for lots of other things.
If you've been stopping by lately, you'll know that I really love Kaisercraft's "Greenhouse" collection. I've been using it quite a bit lately, because it's just beautiful. I started off by choosing a few of the Cardstock Die Cuts and arranged them on a blank background. I then decided that I wanted to use an oval stitched die from Lawn Fawn's Magic Color Slider Die set (I use the 3 frames in that set all the time) for my shaker window. Then I chose my coordinating patterned papers.
After choosing the papers, I went through my stash of Sparkle Blends to see what I thought would work best. I actually thought I was going to use the newer Springtime Blend, but instead, I felt that Icicle was the right way to go. It has lovely cool tones in it, with lots of glitter and opulence. It really pulled out the subtle shades in all of the succulents.
I stamped a simple "thank you" from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words stamp set with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink, and then I buffed on some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to add a bit more soft color to the border of my background panel. I kept my card base pure white.
I really love how this card turned out. And since you're not using large pieces of patterned paper, or many die cut succulents, you can remake this card several times with those two products. And, you can easily change up the Sparkle Blends that you use in the window. But I will say, I think Icicle was perfect for it. Please be sure to visit White Rose Crafts LLC, who is the exclusive retailer for Sparkle Blends by Doodles Paper Playground. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Snowman Shaker Card
Hello. Gail, aka ionabunny, here today and I am so excited to have been asked to guest design for December and January here at the the Doodles Paper Playground. Have you seen the new release?? So much sparkly fun. I have made a snowman shaker using the beautiful Icicle sparkle blend and papers and dies from Marianne Design.
Squuueeeeeee! How cute is that???
Love this cool sparkly mix. Perfect for your winter makes with shades of white, silver and turquoise and all that sparkle and iridescent loveliness.
I made my shaker element using Marianne Designs Snowman Tag die. I used white foam and cut it and the patterned paper with the tag outline. I used blue paper for the base, added the foam and sparkle blend, a piece of acetate and the patterned paper on top. Then I cut the snowman and glued him on top of the acetate so he is floating above all that sparkly shaky fun.
I added some large flat heart sequins from Conversation Hearts Sparkle Blend. I cut and embossed the Marianne Designs Winter Wonderland die sentiment from gold mirror card, with some black for shadows, and tucked a dimensional star from the Bells are Ringing sparkle blend under the 'W'.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to get sparkly today. All the Sparkle Blends are available from White Rose Crafts.

Happy Holidays Shaker Ornament
Happy Holidays
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I used Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow stamp set and shaker add on dies
for this project.
I stamped and die cut the base and the snow globe frame.
I used a piece of patterned paper that had little grey snow flakes on it.
Then I added the snowmen.
These little guys are so cute!
I added color to the snowmen and the globe base with copic markers
I added the acetate and a double layer of foam tape to the frame,
measured my sequins out and I put the frame in place.
I die cut a second base to put on the back.
This hides the ink that bled through from coloring and also
gives a place to attach the string.
I had originally had a different idea for the sentiment on this but then
I decided I wanted to put it on the globe base.
I stamped it in regular black ink.
For this shaker I used the Icicle Sparkle Blend from Doodle Paper Playground.
I love the glitter sequins in this blend.
