Lucky Charm - Shamrock Sparkle Blend

 Lucky Charm

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I decided to make a super green holiday card for today!

To stick with the theme of this card I went with a green base panel.
I attached it my card base.

I stamped a bunch or shamrocks from the
Lawn Fawn My Lucky Charm set.
I then colored them by ink blending the paper.
I added some golden paint splatters to both
the shamrocks and the base panel.

I die cut the shamrocks out.
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner
and then added the shamrocks all along
the opposite side.

Laid out my sequins and placed the top panel on.

I finished the card by adding sequins to the front.

On this card I used the Shamrock Sparkle Blend.
Obviously perfect for a St. Patrick's Day card!

Happy Holidays

So today I am playing with the fabulous Sparkle Blend mix called Lights In The Forest. I have to be honest, this is such an amazing blend and can be used for so many different things, that it is pretty much a must! I have paired it with this fabulous Stamp Set from Hero Arts called Winter Woods HeroScape. These things together work so well for making an Infinity Shaker, which you all know I love doing. I did use a bunch of inks between stamping and blending, so for my layering I used Catherine Pooler inks in Spruce, Aquatini, Hot Tub, and Stone Blue. I also used for my ink blending Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Faded Jeans. For my sentiment and my black stamping I used Memento Tuxedo Black. Additionally I used acetate for my shaker panel with one inch wide scor tape to create the infinity shaker and finally some blue glitter cardstock from DCWV and my card base is Classic Crest Natural White 110lb cardstock cut and scored to create an A2 size base.

This is really such a perfect blend for so many things, that I personally may need to grab some more before it is gone!

So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. Grab your favorites from the November release while they are still available! And as always, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

Birthday Wishes Being Delivered Today

Happy Weekend Everyone! Today I am bringing you this super fun project that combines elements from several different companies, which are all combining perfectly with Sparkle Blends Sunflower Mix! I adore how well this blend works both in the shaker element as well as sprinkled throughout the sunflower field.

This project uses dies and designer papers from Queen and Company for the wonderful truck and layering stamps from Hero Arts as well as Catherine Pooler Inks and my MISTI as well as blending brushes from Taylored Expressions, and everything is attached using Scor-Tape and Gina K Connect Glue.  So what do you think?

Make sure you grab your favorites from the September Release as well as all of the amazing Sparkle Blends. So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

Merry Christmas

And now for a little more Christmas in July! I am bringing you a Sparkly Christmas Tree! Check this out!
This project features the fabulous Oh Christmas Tree and Old St. Nick Sparkle Blends. These two work together so well and allowed me to use the fabulous elements from both blends to give me tiny Santas, Tiny Christmas Trees, stars for both the sky and to decorate the tree. There are so many fun elements in these blends!
I created my background using Catherine Pooler Inks in Juniper Mist, Suede Shoes and It's A Boy, and have applied these with Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes. I then used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillsides to create my snowy layers and attached these with Scor-Tape. Then I stamped and colored up the tree from a stamp set from Stamps of Life called Christmastree2stamp and cut it out with the coordinating die set. I colored it up with Copics in G03, G05 and G09. The sentiment is also from the same set and I stamped it using the same Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink. I then adhered the Sparkle Blends to my project using a combination of glue dots and On Point Glue.
