It's the last day of July!...

Hi ya crafty peeps. Today I am sharing a planner project that I do each month. I like to create shaker inspiration inserts for my Happy Planner. I made a small inspiration shaker insert so that it wouldn't take up to much room and that would be able to be transferred on to the next week.

This shaker insert for Doodles Paper Playground features the April-Birthstone Collection: Diamond! It's a great neutral and can be used in so many ways. "A glittering, transparent blend of crystal, iridescent and moonshine clear sequins, beads and crystals in different sizes and shapes. You’ll find beautiful, silvery, cupped flowers, iridescent stars, large flat rounds, and other assorted shapes, in addition to the classic round, cupped sequins in several sizes. This blend is the perfect final touch for any project.

Icicle Thank You Shaker

Hi, it's Rhiannon. Today I have a "thank you" card that I made for Amber, the owner of Doodles Paper Playground. I made her this card because she sent me a big box of craft items. I used some of the things on this card. Almost everything I used on this card, came from the box.
I started by cutting out a mat for a small card (4" x 5 1/4"). Then I chose a size for my circle to die cut. I used a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Before I die cut my card, I blended 4 Scrapberry's Glimmer Inks on my mat. I used Green, Lavender, Teal, and Plum. I used finger daubers to blend the inks. Once I put the colors on, I used Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle on top of the inks. After I did that. I die cut my circle in the top center. Then, I stamped "thank you" underneath the circle with the Green Shimmer Ink.
Next I made my shaker. I used the "Icicle" Sparkle Blend for inside my shaker. I used it because the colors went really nicely with the rest of my card. The colors in it are white, light blue and silver. I like the diamonds and the big flower pieces in it. Once my shaker was together, I put the mat on to a cream card base. Then, underneath the "thank you," I put a strip of trim that has rhinestones all over it. Amber gave it to me. It shines a lot. After I did that, I put some of the lavender shimmer ink on the edges of my card base.
After I finished with the outside of my card, I added ink to the inside to give it more interest. Once I did the ink, I wrote my message to Amber in silver marker. I like how the Sheer Shimmer Spritz came out on my mat. I think that the "Icicle" Sparkle Blend looks really good with the rest of my card. That's it for today. Have a great day!

Make A Wish

Make A Wish

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I used the Critters Ever After set from Lawn Fawn
I stamped out my images and colored
 them with copic markers
and cut them out with a die.

On the castle, I layered the door and two of the roofs to give it a little more dimension.

My bottom base panel is just a plain
panel and on the top panel
I created the window for my shaker and
used a cloud die on the side.

I place a strip of striped washi tape
along the side of the base panel.
I placed the dragon and a few glitter cloud outline die cuts.

I used my standard double layer of foam tape on this card.
I measured out my sequins.

Placed my top panel. .

Added the castle and another little cloud die.
I also added a sentiment to the top corner and a few single sequins to finish off the card.

I used the Dragon Glass Sparkle Blend on this card. . . I love all the different shades of black!

Hi ya crafty peeps. Today I am sharing a fun and colorful project. It's a little shaker card that is perfect for the upcoming State Fairs around the country! I can't believe it's almost Fair time. My card reflects one of my favorite things to do at the fair...The carousel. Here is my project.

This shaker card for Doodles Paper Playground features the ends of several collections. I take the blends that are almost out and combine them to make a truly one of a kind mix! A perfect way to use up your leftovers.

Pixie Dust Double Shaker

Greetings! It's Alison, and today I have a shaker card that features the GORGEOUS "Pixie Dust" Sparkle Blend. I love this Blend because it's opalescent and soft, but still has lots of color.
I love to create a lot of backgrounds all at once. I never really know what I am going to use them for, or when, but it's a great way to get out of a creative rut, when I am not sure what I feel like making, or when I just want to play without thinking too much. It's almost like a mediation. So this background was created some time ago with Distress Oxide Inks on glossy photo paper. There is no chalky finish, because I wiped it away with a tissue once the inks had dried. It really brings out the beautiful colors of the inks.
You can see in this photo the beautiful colors and shapes of the "Pixie Dust" Sparkle Blend. I especially love those "shards." I used a heart die from Lawn Fawn's Magic Color Slider Die set for my windows, and I backed the shaker with some old patterned paper. I also used a sentiment from Altenew's "Crafty Friends" stamp set, which I stamped in Teal StazOn ink.
The soft colors of the Oxides used in this background really bring out the colors of this Sparkle Blend. It's soft, sweet, and pretty. I added just a few sequins on the top of the card with On Point Glue for more sparkle and a bit of dimension.
For me, it's nice to work in pastels once in a while. I usually use dark or vibrant colors, so this color palette gives my eyes a bit of a rest. I really, really love Pixie Dust, and I look forward to using it again soon. Leave a Little Sparkle

EK Gorman, DDP, Dragon Glass a
Games of Thrones may be over, but the dragon glass is not.

dragon glass
Hey Everyone, It's EK back with another Guest Designing post and I want to make sure you know that you can pick up your own bundle of Doodles Paper Playground's Dragon Glass Sparkle Blends, and I thought I would play around with it and the very cute Dragon and Bird stamp set from Wild Rose Studio over at White Rose Crafts.

IMG_6522
I just didn't feel like making a shaker card today, so I tried a little something different.  So I started with a piece of 13 Arts Aqua Flora Collection  paper pack.  I adhered the dark watercolored printed paper to an A2 card frame.

IMG_6523
I then took some thick crafting glue that dries clear and added a thick layer around the edges of the card.

IMG_6524
I then poured the sequins all over the card, pressing the blend into the glue gently with my fingers.

IMG_6525
I shook off any excess sequins and moved a few around to create a really cool frame of bling.

IMG_6526
I then colored my dragon and fussy cut out the image.  I adhered it with some double stick tape to the center of the card.

Finally I added a sentiment sticker to the card and set it aside to let it dry.

Let me know if you think this new blend of sequins looks like 'dragon' glass.  Until then, Happy Crafting.
