Unwrap a Special Day

Hey, it's Kelli here today showing a card I made for my sister's birthday!  Her birthday is the first part of December, as is mine, and I always make it a non holiday inspired card!!!  I've used the Majestic Sparkle Blend today!  The soft colors are wonderful for this!!!

I've used a wood grain background on this card and the pink patterned paper is from the Echo Park Jack and Jill 6x6 paper pad.  The stamps and sentiments from a Darice stamp set! Y'all there are tiny unicorn sequins in this blend!  Look towards the top of the shaker and you will see one!!

I've stamped on the inside as well and colored everything with distress inks, in scattered straw, spun sugar, and picked raspberry!

Thanks for going me today!

Just Pinks...

Hi ya DPP fans, today I am sharing with you something quite different and new for me. The Sparkle Blend I used reminds me of juicy fruit and summer.

I made a shaker bookmark/planner mark. The blend I used is Strawberry Fields Sparkle Blend and I thought some cute strawberry paper at the top would go quite nicely. This blend is one of my favorites. There are so many neat little hidden treasures in this blend to satisfy those of you who appreciate something different and not just a plain old blend you get else where.

As always, all blends from Doodle Paper Playground are exclusively sold at White Rose Crafts LLC. Stop by the shop and see the truly unique and pretty sparkle blends. There are many to choose from!

Make a Path

Hello! Today, I have a new shaker card to share with you. I was really inspired by one of the newest stamp sets from Beth Duff Designs, and I hadn't had a chance to play with it until now. The set is called Faith Can Move Mountains.  I knew when I started this card that I was going to make a shaker, and I let the card happen organically. This helped me to decide which Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground I was going to use. I chose But First, CoffeeGingerbread Man would have worked too, but I opted to steer away from the glitter sequins found in Gingerbread Man, simply because of the overall look of this card.

I started off with Kraft cardstock and I embossed the mountain scene with Champagne PearLustre embossing powder from Stampendous. I used a Posca Pen to add some snow to the mountains, and I inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.

My top layer was made from cream colored cardstock. I used a Tim Holtz Wood Grain stencil with Antique Linen Distress Oxide, and then I inked the edges with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Oxides. Next, I cut out my window using an Elizabeth Craft Designs oval die, and I stamped my sentiment with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.

Here you can see the wonderful sequins and beads that are in the But First, Coffee Sparkle Blend. There are several shades of brown, some gold, cream, and burnt orange. It's a great blend for nature inspired, masculine, and steampunk projects.

I love the inspirational quality of this card. The mountain range is so beautiful in it's simplicity, and I really like it with the Champagne embossing powder. If you would like to get a closer look at But First, Coffee, or any of the other Sparkle Blends, please visit White Rose Crafts LLC. Thank you for stopping by.Have an inspiring day!

Sending Joy For the Holidays

Sending Joy For the Holidays

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I started with creating my base panel.
I used Mission Gold watercolors on some watercolor paper and did
blue ombre with a pearly white paint splatter

I die cut some snowy hills and added some blue glitter heat embossing to the tops.
I stamped my images, colored the hat with copics and used a patterned paper for the scarf.

I layered the snowy hills and used a die to trim the bottom
so they wouldn't poke out of the shaker.

I assembled and added the snowman.

I white heat embossed my sentiment.

I laid out my sequins. . .

I used two circle dies to create my shaker frame.
I used glittery silver paper.
I attached it with a double layer of foam tape so that there is
plenty of room for my shaker bits!

For this shaker I used the Snow Cool Sparkle Blend from Doodle Paper Playground.

I love how there are several different sized snowflakes in this blend.
There are more great Sparkle Blends and a large assortment of items for
all your crafty projects over at White Rose Crafts!

2 Cards, 1 Layout

Hello! Alison here. Today I have 2 cards that use the same stamps and layout, but the papers and Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground that I use are different. The Sparkle Blends I used are Frozen (with with a few glitter sequins from Candy Cane) and Boughs of Holly. Let's take a look at the first card.

I did something a little different with my cards this time. Instead of coloring my images first and picking out coordinating paper and embellishments next, I started off with my paper first. I knew I wanted to use certain patterns from 2 Echo Park collections, and I used them as my jumping off point for my coloring. The papers on this card are from the I Love Winter collection. I am so in love with the Thanks a Latte stamps and dies  from Lawn Fawn, and I knew they would be perfect for these cards.

I stamped the images with VersaFine ink and colored them with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers on Bristol Smooth paper. My shaker windows were made with 2 circle dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Inside this shaker, I used the "Frozen" Sparkle Blend with just a few red glitter sequins from "Candy Cane" to tie all of the colors together.

As finishing touches, I inked the edges of my cream card base with Sapphire Delicata ink and added my sentiment on Kraft cardstock with Twilight VersaFine Clair ink.

The second card uses Echo Park's "I Love Christmas" paper collection. I followed the exact same format with the first card, only changing my Sparkle Blend, marker colors, and cardstock.

For this card, I used the "Boughs of Holly" Sparkle Blend which is absolutely, positively the perfect Christmas Blend. I love the mix of colors and sequin styles in it. And I have to point out the adorable reindeer on that Echo Park paper inside my shaker. They are just too cute!

I like the warmth of this card. The first card feels chilly to me. The soft beige tones on this card give off a comfy vibe to me.

Making both of these cards was quick, because the layout was simple and the coloring was minimal. This layout can be easily adapted to suit many stamp sets and themes. And I think this shaker size is great. You get a lot of movement and plenty of room for your Sparkle Blends. What stamps or paper companies can you think of that you can use to adapt this card to suit your needs? I think I'll be using this layout quite a bit. Please visit White Rose Crafts LLC to check out all of the available Sparkle Blends. They are the exclusive distributor and all Blends are Limited Edition. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Snowflake Shaker Card

Greetings! Alison here, and today I have a shaker card that features the beautiful Frozen Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. Frozen is a beautiful wintry mix of blues and whites, with some very pretty snowflakes, glitter sequins, and gems.

For the top layer of my card, I used some Distress Oxide Inks to get an icy cool look. I used Peacock FeathersSalty Ocean, and Faded Jeans. I applied the inks to my craft mat, spritzed the inks with water, and then dragged my cardstock through it. I sped up the drying time with my heat tool, and reinked the cardstock.

After I was satisfied with my results, I decided where I wanted my snowflake shakers (stamps and dies from Stampendous) to be. Then, I die cut the 2 snowflakes in my Distress Oxide layer. Next, I took a piece of pale blue cardstock and placed it under the die cut layer (just sitting...not attached to anything). I placed these 2 pieces of cardstock into my Stamp Platform and held them down with magnets. Then, I fit the snowflake stamps into the die cut holes, so I knew that they would be placed perfectly. I closed the door on my Stamp Platform to pick up the snowflakes, and then I removed the Distress Ink layer, just so that it wasn't in the way. I stamped the snowflakes with VersaMark ink, and used Lapis PearlLustre Embossing Powder from Stampendous.

I added a piece of acetate to the back of the Distress Ink layer, and then lots of foam tape. To the layer with the embossed snowflakes, I added my Frozen Shaker Blend. Then I laid the Distress Ink layer on top to close up my shaker. I created my card base out of white cardstock, but I added a mat of Bo Bunny Denim Vintage cardstock to bring out the darker blues in the Sparkle Blend.

I love the swirling colors of the Distress Inks, plus the shine from the Sparkle Blend and embossing powder. I also love the depth you get from stamping the snowflakes on the bottom layer of the shaker. This technique would work with many types of stamps, that you have a coordinating die for. I hope you'll give it a try! Be sure to visit White Rose Crafts to see all of the currently available Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Peace On Earth Angel Card

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a holiday card. You still have time to create a few more cards for friends and family.

I used the Bells Are Ringing Sparkle Blend for this card. It's a perfect mix of Silver, Gold, White and Clear elements in a variety of sizes and finishes. The blend includes stars and beautiful bells.

I used the Greeting Farm Angel Anya and a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noir Markers to color the image. I used a sentiment from a stamp set called Festive Flourishes, glitter gold washi strip along with some older pattern paper in my stash.  The Bells Are Ringing Sparkle Blend add the perfect finishing touch to this angelic card.

Happy Thanksgiving Jar Shaker

Have a happy Thanksgiving

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

You know how little baby food jars would be used to
make cute little snow globes?
I bought the Lawn Fawn How You Bean set and shaker die set so
that I could make cute little shaker jars.

I started by stamping and die cutting all my pieces.
I clear heat embossed the jar and the little pie and added some wink of Stella to the crust

First I added my pie to the base.

Then I measured out my sequins. . . I could have added more, I constantly teeter between adding to many or not enough sequins. . . Oh well. Lol!

I added the frame with the acetate and then added the jar lid.

At first I was just going to leave it as a little shaker tag but then I
decided to make into a cute little card.

I used the base die to cut a little shaped card.

I adhered the shaker to the front and now it's a cute little shaped card!

For this card I used the Sparkle Blend Be-Leaf in Yourself
from Doodles Paper Playgrounds.

I am really loving the flat glitter sequins and
this mix has cute little maple leaves!

Winter Wonder Blog Hop with White Rose Crafts

It’s time for another White Rose Crafts Blog Hop! This month we are celebrating Winter Wonder! ❆⛄❆⛄❆⛄❆⛄

For my project today, I decided to try out one of the new to me and new to White Rose Crafts stamp designers, Little Acres Creations. I decided to go back to one of my favorite techniques & do some stamp masking with the Piles of Smiles stamp set & colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I added a ton of Sakura White Souffle pen to the colored image, making it look as though there's heavy snowfall, leaving a coating of fluff on all of the cute critters and that adorable mail stump. I added Dovecraft Crystal Clear Glitter Glue to the snow, giving it lots of gorgeous sparkle. I used a white gel pen to liberally add dots of snowfall, all over my design, even over the colored images so they appear in the snow, rather than in front of it. Then I built a custom sentiment using Heffy Doodle's Elfing Christmas Words stamp set, stealing an ampersand from the Your Next Stamp Totally Narly set,  stamping it with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. As a final touch, I added a few snowflakes from my Doodles Paper Playground Frozen Sparkle Blend, scattered around.

I selected an ice blue card base from my stash & cut a mat of plaid paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid: Winter paper pack, adhering it with Double Sided Sticky Tape. I trimmed my colored panel to 3.75x5 inches and adhered it in the center, popping it up with Woodware UK 1mm Foam Mounting tape, for a tiny bit of dimension.

I always love to bring the outside of my cards to the inside, so I cut another panel of Perfectly Plaid: Winter paper  and a white panel, measuring 3.5x4.75 inches, layering them with Double Sided Sticky Tape. I again built a custom sentiment, combining the large "Happy Holidays" stamps from Lawn Fawn's Winter Penguin mini stamp set, stamped in Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink, with "to you and yours" from the Holiday Helpers set using Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink. For a final touch, I added a few Lawn Fawn snowflakes, and the envelope and mailbox from the original Little Acres set, also in Morning Mist.
