2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Hello Sparkle Blends Fans! I hope you are having a spectacular day, wherever you are in the world! We are super duper excited to be a Super Sponser for the 2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! 


This is a HUGE hop that begins today, May 3rd and is open for your entries through May 10th! There's an amazing lineup of sponsors participating (at least 85 at last count) this time around, and donating some really wonderful prizes! We've donated 2 bundles of Sparkle Blends that include both our brand new Cafe Au Lait blend and a mini pack of Caffeinated, this month's exclusive White Rose Crafts Barista Blend Kit Sparkle Blend (this is a rare opportunity, y'all--we've never given away exclusive blends before!), and a few extra random blends to start/add to your collection! 

Of course you must be wondering, "How can I get in on this awesome Blog hopping action?" My contribution to to the hop, today is a quick and easy shaker card I created with the White Rose Crafts May Barista Blend Kit--plus a few extras from the store and my stash. I started with a top folding, beige A2 card base and a sheet of floral paper from the Echo Park Coffee paper pack included in the kit. I cut the paper to 4 x 5 1/4 inches, and adhered it to the card base. Next, I used the cup die from the Jillibean Soup Latte Love stamp & die set to cut through both the top layer of the card base and the patterned paper to create my shaker window. I placed the sentiment stamp from the Little Acres Creations Moo Brew stamp set (included in the kit, retired, exclusive) inside the shaker window, and stamped it through the window in Versafine Clair Nocturne  ink. I placed the PVC Cup shaker pouch in the opening, filled it with a generous amount of Caffeinated & Cafe Au Lait Sparkle Blends, peeled off the adhesive backing paper & closed the card to seal the pouch to the inside of the card. 

Next, I stamped the cow from the stamp set on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers before fussy cutting it out. I added a 1.25 inch strip of red gingham paper from the paper pack to the bottom of the card and 2 hexagon stickers, from my stash, in gold & pink, as a subtle background for the cow, which I adhered with thick foam dots. To embellish I added a coffee bean heart and simple sentiment sticker to the gingham section of the card. For a final touch, I added a generous layer clear of sparkle pen and  glossy accents to the glasses and coffee mug, for a touch of sparkle and shine. 

On the inside of the card, I added just a couple of strips of the gold foil, geometric washi tape, included in the kit.
