Have an Out Of This World Birthday
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I used alcohol ink paper and micro glaze for this background.
I laid down my layer of color and sealed it with the micro glaze.
I added few layers of chipped sapphire and black soot
and my galaxy star flecks using Finetec Iridescent paint
and some perfect pearls water then I sealed it again with the micro glaze.
I die cut all of my panels. . .
Stamped and colored my images. . .
I used the Lawn Fawn Pull Tab add on to create the interactive
portion of my card. . .
I used acetate to give my self more pop up options. . .
I attached the images to the slider base.
the space ship will go on the little front panel.
I white heat embossed the sentiment.
To get rid of the anti static residue I just buff my panel
with my black soot distress blending tool.
Now everything is ready to assemble. . .
I attached the sentiment panel with a single layer of foam tape
so the images have plenty of sliding space.
I also used a single layer of foam tap between the galaxy panel
and the base panel and to finish the card I added some matching sequins.
I attached it to a top folding card base.
Here is the card with the images hidden.
I love how this card turned out!
On this card I used sequins from
This is one of my favorite mixes! I love all the different star sizes and colors!

Dewlet Hello
Hello! Alison here! Today, I've got a new shaker card to share featuring several beautiful Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. I recently purchased the new Dewlet dies from Imagine. They're meant to perfectly die cut around their Dew Drop Inks. But I knew they would also be great for shaker cards.
I started off by laying out all 5 Dewlets in a pattern. I temporarily taped them down and die cut them in my Big Shot. Then, I added foam tape. Then I realized I forgot to add acetate to seal the windows! So I carefully pulled off the foam tape and added acetate. Luckily, I realized my goof up before I got too far with the tape. After I added all of the tape, I chose my Sparkle Blends.
I used (from top to bottom) Love Potion, Pretty in Pink, Garnet, Lilac Luster, and I combined Rosy Gold with Strawberry Fields. I really like the pink, purple, and red color combination these Blends gave the card.
For my sentiment, I die cut the Sugar Script "Big Hello" from Birch Press. I love the Sugar Scrip font. It works really well with some many styles. I die cut the top layer out of hot pink, and the bottom layer out of lavender cardstock.
For a 5 window shaker, it's a pretty clean and simple card. I like that it didn't need inks or stamps to complete, as it's sometimes nice to step away from your usual go-to products. You can check out all of these, plus many other Sparkle Blends over at White Rose Crafts. They are the exclusive retailer, and all Sparkle Blends are limited edition. So take a look at your shape dies and see how you can use them for fun shaker cards! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Just Skate...
Hi ya peeps, winter seems to be dragging on a bit so I am sharing a fun picture window/shaker card featuring a Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground.
For this project on "ice" I used the Sparkle Blend Icicle. With neutral shades of white , blues and greens I thought this blend would be perfect for a snowy day on ice themed project. This chilly blend of white, clear, ice blue and silver. This combination of tiny iridescent gem confetti, 3D clear diamonds, bitty iridescent hearts, and gloss, iridescent; transparent glitter sequins in a variety of sizes evokes those chilly stalactites. You can find all the Sparkle Blends by Doodles Paper Playground HERE. Happy Crafting, Carolyn

More Birthday Wishes
Hi friends, today I have another birthday card I made using the Conversation Hearts Sparkle Blends. I have to say this is my favorite blend out of the release!!! It has all different sizes of hearts and the colors are so bright and cheery!!
I used a thin metal die to cut out the window and the Birthday Wishes is from the Birthday Bits stamp set from SSS which unfortunately is no longer available. I don't know why I am in birthday card making mode but I am for some reason!!!
Remember if you know the company that this die came from please leave a comment and let me know for future references! It too cam from the box I got at my local good will!

Masculine Valentine's Day Card
Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a clean and simple masculine Valentine's day card.
I know that my son doesn't always love getting all the pink and red valentine's day cards every year. So, this year I decided to create a more masculine card. I used non-traditional colors yet I kept the color palette light. I went with a Teal and Purple color scheme.
I also used the Conversation Hearts Sparkle Blend to add a bit of finishing touch and highlight the image on the card with one of the fun tiny clay hearts in the mix.
This unexpected Valentine’s Day mix has tons of interest,
from its contemporary bright palette to the assorted size
and style heart confetti and sequins in bold yellow, orange, green,
purple and blue tones. You’ll find sparkly, shiny, transparent, iridescent,
and holographic elements in this updated take on Cupid’s favorite holiday.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

Garnet Delphinium
Hello! Today I have a new card for Doodles Paper Playground. This card uses one of the newest Sparkle Blends, called "Garnet." I'm a January baby, so I really love this blend of reds, pinks, and lavender.
I chose to stamp a lovely Delphinium stamp from Stampendous, and I heat embossed it in in white on white cardstock. I looked through the Garnet Sparkle Blend to see what colors I wanted to pull from it. I chose a few Tombow markers that coordinated and scribbled them on to my craft mat. I spritzed the colors with a little water and dipped the heat embossed image into the ink.
I dipped and dried the cardstock a couple of times to build up the layers of color, but I had to be careful of the embossed image. This technique is quick and really lovely. It can also be done with lots of products beyond the Tombow markers. You can use Zig markers, Distress Inks or Oxides, etc.
For my sentiment, I used the Painted Hello die from Simon Says stamp, and I die cut it 3 times from lavender cardstock. After I attached them together, I used a White Wink of Stella glitter pen to add a bit more sparkle to my card.
I found a scrap of deep pink Core'dinations cardstock that I adhered to my card base, after tearing the bottom to expose it's inner color. My delphinium layer purposely has a lot of white, so that the colors of the sequins in the Garnet Blend really shine through. I love the varying degrees of opacity, colors, and style of this mix. They are so lovely when they are together.
This is a pretty quick card to put together, which is great. I love the dimension of not only the sequins, but the "hello" as well. Take a look at the Sparkle Blends you have, and let them dictate the color palette of your next card or project. I bet you'll find some interesting and beautiful combinations that you can use. Need to see more Sparkle Blends? Please head over to White Rose Crafts LLC. They are the exclusive retailer for Sparkle Blends. That's it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Gnomey Shaker
Hello. Gail here and I am so happy to be guest designing for January here at the Doodles Paper Playground. I was a bit stumped for today's post so I took a look around blogland and came across a challenge that wanted gnomes. So I'm thinking, do I have any gnomes? I decided I must have, somewhere, so after a bit of a gnome hunt I found a cute stamp from a company called Panduro and my Gnomey shaker was born.
I used the beautiful Flaming Sunset Sparkle blend for my shaker
A beautiful blend of red, orange and yellow sequins with crystals, seed beads
and colourful spheres.
I started by stamping my gnome on a scrap of white card, colouring with Promarkers and fussy cutting him. He was sitting on a very inadequate mushroom so I stamped the large mushroom from Visible Image Caterpillar set on patterned paper, fussy cut and added some colour.
I built my shaker using Marianne Dessign papers and dies. I backed the semi-circle apertures in the die cut with washi tape. Love that sequin mix.
Hope you like my shaker. All the sparkle blends are available at White Rose Crafts. Happy shaking. Hugz
