I am using Old St. Nick to create this adorable shaker card. I am using a kit from Queen and Company for my project. I adore how this Special Delivery kit makes such a fun scene card. The dies in this set are perfect for making this super cute truck with a shaker spot designed right in. I have also used a stencil from My Favorite Things called, appropriately, Cloud, to mak my cloud background for my holiday truck to drive toward.
Primarily a cardmaking and papercrafting blog featuring both my own creative designs-including the products and techniques I used to create them-as well as projects by the Sparkle Blends Designing Divas team and other Guest Designers. I welcome comments, design suggestions, and questions, but I do ask that they remain respectful and kind.

Party Like A Pineapple
This mix is called Pineapple Garden and look how cute! I have actually used a Stamp Set from Stamps of Life called pineapple2stamp and a matching die set called pineapple2stamp dies and a 6x6 paper pad called Shine that coordinates really well with the mix and the stamp set!
I used acetate to create my shaker window and foam tape to create the sparkle pouch. I did use my Copics to color up my pineapple, and some Sizzix circle dies as well. Now it does appear that I had already used all the actual pineapples from my mix already, but I think all the rest of the pieces are in there!

Keep it Weird
Hey Friends! I am back with another guest designer post for Doodle's Paper Playground. Today I am trying to keep it weird while I play withe recently released Sparkles Blend mix, Grown Up Grape Juice.
To create this card, I stamped out an image from a Dylusions stamp set, coloring it in with my copics. Then I hand cut a shaker window and filled it with the Grown Up Grape Juice mix. Finally, using a little Wilted Violet Distress Oxides, I blended ink around the edges of the card and added a sticker sentiment from Tim Holtz.
Do you ever try to keep things weird when you craft? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.

Flutter By Butterfly
I used Resin to create this super cute necklace using Flutter By Butterfly. This is such a fun blend to create with and I love how you can create layers so that all your sequins are on various levels throughout the resin. I am always so excited with how the Sparkle Blends throw so much light and sparkle. And this lavender leather cord worked perfectly with this blend!

Let's Play
Greetings! I've got a new shaker card to share that uses Doodles Paper Playground's "Flutter By Butterfly" Sparkle Blend. The colors are soft and pretty, and although the name suggests butterflies, I didn't use any on my card today.
I colored the pretty girl (from Saturated Canary) with Copics during the last 30 Day Coloring Challenge from The Daily Marker. She has such a sweet face doesn't she?I wanted to mimic the colors that I used on her clothes, so I inked the Knitted Stencil from Sassy & Crafty with a few colors of Distress Oxides. I used Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed, and Picked Raspberry. You can see in this photo some of the gorgeous colors in the "Flutter By Butterfly" Sparkle Blend. My window was created with a heart die from Lawn Fawn, which I backed with a soft houndstooth patterned paper, and my sentiment is from the Furever Friends stamp set from Sassy & Crafty. I love how playful the card is, with the mix of colors and patterns, plus the girl and her jump rope. This new Sparkle Blend is really beautiful, and although I didn't use them today, it has cute little clay butterflies in it. That’s it for me today. I hope you’ll visit the Sparkle Blends Shop on Etsy to see all of the currently available sequin mixes. Sparkle Blends are made in small batches, only once, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!Thursday, August 20, 2020

Cheesecake Shaker Card
Hello! Today, I am sharing a card that my husband made. If you have been a follower of mine for a while, you know that he enjoys crafting with the kids and I. For the past couple of months, we've been having a crafting afternoon, where we each make cards using new Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. He came up with this card (using Ladybird) all on his own, and I didn't do anything on it. I taught him a few techniques, but he did everything himself.
He created a cloudy background and then layered a beautiful tree stencil on top with a brown glitter gel. As it dried, he used a punch to cut his layers of grass, and he die cut his cake (from Stampendous' Birthday Numbers Dies Set) several times to create a shaker. He also stamped out his tree stump (from Lawn Fawn). This Sparkle Blend is so cute, and I adore those ladybirds (which is what the UK calls ladybugs). I love how Gene has them crawling up to the cheesecake. He made a cheesecake, because at the time, it was only a few days before International Cheesecake Day, and he looooves cheesecake. He even used Nuvo drops to make his cherry topping! Gene added a lot of texture and dimension with foam tape, the texture paste, the ladybugs, and all of his other little details. And I like that it's not a birthday card.He worked really hard on this card, and I am so proud of him for trying so many new techniques at once. His design was solid from the beginning, and I had nothing to do with that aspect of the card. He's a fast learner, and he had a really good time playing with all of these things. I can't wait to see what he makes next! I'd love it if you let Gene know what you think of his card. I hope you’ll visit the Sparkle Blends Shop on Etsy to see all of the currently available sequin mixes. Sparkle Blends are made in small batches, only once, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. You can use my code, “ALISON10” to save 10% off of your order (not including Bundles). Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Who Doesn't Love Baby Shark!
I actually wanted the resin to cure with bubbles to make this feel like the sharks were swimming.
I really love how this came out. The Sparkle Blends are so totally perfect for resin projects as the way resin works allows all the color and sparkle to actually be magnified and works with the light that filters through the resin. It also does ot require any extra steps like sealing the sequin blends, so it is fun and fast! And you get the added benefit of being able to see the sparkle blends from different angles catching so much light!
Make sure you check out the new August Release and grab it before it is gone, as well as all of the amazing Sparkle Blends. So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blog, Facebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!
