Good Vibes

Hello! Alison here. My card today features the rich, beautiful new "Mulled Wine" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I opted to not make a shaker today, but to instead just scatter the pretty sequins around my card.

I, like I'm sure many of you, have plenty of stamp sets that haven't been used in a while because of "new" things. So I decided to pull out a stamp set that I've had for a while, that I don't get to use as often as I'd like. It's the Gina K Designs "Something Good" stamp set. It's got such a fun combination of images that lend themselves well to my style.

I played with the arrangement of the stamps and applied a few directly on to Kraft cardstock. For my flower, I stamped it on cream, fussy cut it, and sprinkled some of Stampendous' "Seasonings" embossing powder in the middle. I also gold heat embossed the dots from the stamp set directly on to the Kraft cardstock. I tore the top and bottom of the cardstock and inked it with a deep brown ink. I then inked a brick-colored ink on to my cream card base and adhered the stamped layer. I adhered the flower to the card with foam dots for dimension. And last, I added the beautiful sequins from the Mulled Wine Sparkle Blend. Look at all of those unique colors! Aren't they beautiful?

I love the colors and the various textures on this card. And it shines so nicely in real life! This was a fast card to create, and it can easily be made in in an assembly line-style if you needed to mass produce it. Plus, by changing the colors of the inks and Sparkle Blends, you can get a totally different look. There are lots of stunning new Blends to choose from! Have you seen the release in it’s entirety? You can visit the Sparkle Blends Shop on Etsy to check it out, and get an even closer look in the FB Live I did last week in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club. I can’t wait to see what you make! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
