Hello! Alison here. The brand new Sparkle Blend release from Doodles Paper Playground will be available this Friday! I hope you're excited. I have a sneak peek at one of those Blends today. It's called Hot Cocoa, and it's one of my favorites from this new release.
Last Spring, I won a fantastic prize pack from Rubbernecker Stamps via the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. This handsome, albeit frazzled owl, named Granger, was part of the prize. And although he could very well be drinking coffee, he could also be drinking hot cocoa, as I know it has definitely smoothed out my frizz from time to time.
I colored Granger with Zigs, and used the coordinating die to cut him out. I dusted off an old mug die from Dreamweaver and cut it in 3 spots on a piece of Lawn Fawn's brown Knit Picky paper. I backed my windows with a piece of patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Bella Rosa Paper Pad. I also heat embossed my sentiment which was also from Rubbernecker Stamps (it's the 3107 Coffee Set) with Ivory Embossing Powder from Stampendous.
In the photo above, you can see some of the fabulous elements in the Hot Cocoa Sparkle Blend. There's several shades of brown, textured sequins, glitter sequins, and even little marshmallow cubes that could double as sugar cubes. I love the rich tones in this Blend, and I am quite sure that it won't be around for long. Remember, Sparkle Blends are all made in small, limited edition batches, so once a Blend is gone, it's gone for good.
I loved using Granger on this card, as well as this beautiful new Hot Cocoa Sparkle Blend. Doodles Paper Playground is releasing 8 new Blends this Friday and I will be sharing them all on a FB Live on 1/14/21 at 8PM EST on the Doodles Paper Playground FB Page. You do not want to miss it! Meanwhile, why not join the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on FB and share your sequin-filled projects with us there? You can also head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop on Etsy to see all of the available Blends. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
I like this frazzled owl and the sparkle blends in the cups.
