Using My Stash: Cute Superhero Cards & Zippy Zebra's Smiles and Hugs promo

Hello Doodle Friends!

I am trying to get better about using my stash, and I definitely have accumulated a nice collection of Superhero themed stamp sets! I'm also an admin and monthly card sender for Zippy Zebras Smiles and Hugs. Zippy Zebras is a community of cardmakers and kind people who commit to sending cards and happy mail, monthly, to children living with chronic illnesses and conditions. I've found it so rewarding to be part of the community & I decided this was the perfect opportunity to use my Superhero stamp collection to make cards for my assigned Zebra Buddies :-)

I started by pulling out the stamp sets I wanted to use: Gerda Steiner Designs Hippo In Disguise, Craftin Desert Divas Caped Crusaders, Clearly Besotted Caped Cuties, Jaded Blossom Super Hero 2, Jaded Blossom Super Hero (revisited, & Fiskars Kapow.

My name is Karen Hasheck and I am honored this month to be a Doodles Paper Playground Guest Designing Diva! I love making shaker cards and the new sequin mixes released this month and available here at White Rose Crafts LLC totally inspired me! Take a look at the Ocean View Sparkle Blend I used in this shaker card: 

Here is the description of this Ocean View blend: 

“I don’t know about you, but I love a pretty water themed card or layout & we wanted to create a blend that evokes those ever changing colors. This vivid combination of cup sequins, round confetti, faceted crystals and micro beads in cobalt, aqua, teal and a touch of light blue was just the look we were going for. We added a sprinkling of dolphin shaped confetti in a variety of colors to complete the effect.” I am saving the cute dolphins for water themed card I will make later. 

I went with monochromatic blues and punny “shake it” – you know you wanna” stamps from Sudio Calico for this shaker card.

Hello Doodle Friends!

I apologize for the delay in writing this post, but my family has been hit hard by cold season this year, and the past week was no exception. My son and I are finally feeling better, so I felt it was well past time that I introduced you all to the incredibly talented Doodles Paper Playground Designing Divas for the month of February!

Fawn Kuehne is a wife and mother to a 7 year old little boy, coming to us from Colorado. She is a medical biller by day, and a creative diva by night! She has always been somewhat crafty, but began paper crafting in 2014, when she purchased a Cricut machine on Black Friday that she used to make cards and do vinyl cutting. She later discovered stamping when she started a daily planner and a new world opened before her. Fawn is passionate about cardmaking, especially shaker cards, because she loves anything blingy, shiny or sparkly--which means sequins are her Jam!

"Beary Big Heart" Shaker Card for White Rose Crafts-featuring "Love Potion" Sparkle Blends

Hello Doodle Friends!

Today I am sharing this pretty shaker card Valentine I created as my White Rose Crafts design team project for this week using Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart stamp set and Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Love Potion, available in the White Rose Crafts online store. You can find links to the products I used at the end of the post. I also entered this card in the ModSquadChallenge.com Love themed challenge.

I started with a top folding, A2 size card base created with110# white cardstock & an old 5x5 heart stencil from my stash. Using a Ranger mini blending tool, with Distress Oxides in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry & Worn Lipstick, I blended from the center of the stencil in a circular ombre pattern.

With St. Patricks Day & Easter just around the corner, and summer hot on their heels, we wanted to offer up some sparkly goodies to fit all of your upcoming project needs!

Test Your Luck:

This festive blend of Green & Gold sequins, confetti, faceted crystals, seed & micro beads, with a fun array of different shaped Fimo slices will be the perfect addition to all of your St. Patrick’s Day projects and cards, but still versatile enough to use all year round!

Spring Fling:

With Easter just around the corner, pastels are all the rage in the crafting world, and this blend delivers! With a beautiful base of pastel pink, lavender, green, light gold & blue, metallic cup sequins and a generous amount of tiny pastel heart confetti, Spring Fling is perfect for all of your spring projects; but we also added a touch of whimsy with pastel 

colored butterflies and 

beautiful faceted crystals. 

Crown Jewels:

Jewel tones have been on trend for awhile, and this year is no different. This bold combination of ultraviolet, teal, ruby red, hunter green, coppery orange & gold is sure to fit the bill with its variety of bright metallic cup sequins, assorted sized star confetti, sparkly faceted crystals & prismatic giant glitter in both hexagon and diamond shapes. You can’t go wrong 

with this striking blend.

Ocean View:

Rosey Gold:

Rose gold is back in fashion and we love how pairing it with different shades of pink really makes those rosey tones pop. We paired a gorgeous blush gold cup sequin with metallic round magenta sequins and dimensional stars and a beautiful combination of pastel pink heart and star confetti, pink flower Fimo slices, faceted crystals

& two sizes of micro beads

in different finishes.
