Using Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Fairy Dust

As soon as I got these sequins I knew they would be great for a baby bathtub shaker!

I stamped my bathtub and cut the inner part out with my Scan-n-Cut.

I added the bubbles to the bath tub and used a die around the image to create my top panel. 

While I was die cutting I also did my base panels. 

I choose yellow so that this card can be given to anyone who is expecting. . . 

I layered my base panels and stamped out some 

cute rubber duckys and colored them with copic markers.

I created the shaker well and filled it sequins.

 

I put a backing on the shaker well and then leveled out the rest of the panel with a double layer of foam tape and then added it to my card base.

I added my sentiment in a matching yellow ink.

I placed my rubber ducky, and a few sequins to the front of the card.

I added some Wink of Stella on the bubbles then a good layer of  glossy accents.

I used Fairy Dust Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground.

I love the iridescent sequins and it has so many shapes.

Its April 2018 Sparkle Blends Release Time!!

Hello Doodle Friends!
I am super excited to share my latest collection of Sparkle Blends with you because this month I did things a little different. I asked for blend recipe suggestions on Instagram for this month's release, and I heard my Sparkle Blend divas loud and clear! 

I combined some of your suggestions with a few ideas I already had to come up with a collection that has something for everyone! 

Its time for the main attraction, so let me introduce you to April's Sparkle Blends release, available exclusively at White Rose Crafts.

Intergalactic

Galaxy backgrounds have taken the paper crafting world by storm & my favorite part of the look is how the different colors peek through the dark background. I tried to evoke that feel in with this blend’s black sequin base dotted with silver, blue, purple, red, green & pink stars, crystals and spheres.

This is the perfect blend for all of your upcoming baby projects. I started with a  pink, yellow and blue base & added yellow duckies, white and yellow baby bottles, blue safety pins, Baby confetti in a variety of pastel colors and multi-hued iridescent rattles and teenie iridescent hearts.

This twinkling blend of assorted shaped sequins and confetti in iridescent clear and white is perfect for any magical project on your craft table. Try it with fairies, unicorns, dragons, princesses, trolls, gnomes, mermaids, or anything else you can think of!

One of my favorite summer past times is watching the sun set over the mountains, lighting up the sky. The  beautiful hues of red, gold, orange and yellow sequins, crystals, seed beads, and colorful spheres gives this blend just the right tone.

The little two toned spheres in this blend begged to be part of a beautiful combination of Chocolate and teal tones. With gorgeous metallic brown, blue and teal sequins, caviar beads, holographic blue flowers and our signature crystals, this blend will add a classic touch to any elegant project.

Summer time screams bright, happy colors and tropical themes. What says tropical more than Flamingos, Palm Trees  and Pineapples! You will find all three, along with some gorgeous lime green and hot pink sequins and confetti in this blend, plus some tropical flowers to bring it all together.

For a floral fanatic, this blend is perfect! We skipped the usual cupped sequins in favor of nothing but flowers in this bright, happy blend! Use them mixed as filler for shaker cards, or pick just a few to embellish your spring and summer projects! Flower styles range from simple daisies to tropical fimo slices and holographic blooms.

Birthday Bash

Everyone needs birthday cards & this blend fits that need like a glove! With brightly colored balloons, party hats, seed beads, crystals and assorted size stars mixed into a base of jewel tone metallic and iridescent clear cup sequins, you can’t go wrong.

Using Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends Pretty In Pink

Hi everyone! I am back with a guest post for Doodles Paper Playground. There is a ton of inspiration in the sparkle blends that Amber puts together and today I used the “Pretty in Pink” blend to inspire my card.

One of the flower sequins in this blend goes from yellow to white to pink to dark pink so I used that color scheme to create this faux Easter shaker card. To start my card, I stamped the little girl image on a scrap piece of white cardstock and colored her with Copics. I then took a panel of white cardstock and die cut the wreath out. After die cutting the wreath, I used thin foam tape to cover a good portion of the empty space and then used my tape runner to add adhesive around the small cutouts. I then took the sparkles blend and started placing the sequins on the adhesive. I tried to make sure that each of the sequins covered some portion of the areas that were cutout.

I knew that I wanted to have a color behind the sparkle blend to make them stand out. I am still loving my alcohol inks, so I took out a yellow and orange color and created a quick background. The yellow also ties into my color scheme that I wanted to keep. I love the bright colors of these inks and since most of it will be hidden I didn’t have to worry too much about covering up all the white space.

I removed the foam tape and added the yellow panel to the back. Then I added my sentiment to the front.

I added the faux shaker to a top folding A2 panel. For the last steps, I added the little girl to the center with the thin foam tape and took a few extra sequins and placed them in a couple of the starbursts. I also used a sparkle pen on the flower around the little girl’s face. Here is a closeup.
